JOB SUMMARY: Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services provides a spectrum of mental health services through various programs for populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high at- risk youth. The School Counselor provides clinical intervention and support to consumers at the school site to ensure stability. The School Counselor collaborates with the caregivers and school personnel on a regular basis attending IEP meetings and following the IEP plan of care.
Education: -Masters’ Degree in related field required.
Additional Requirements: -Registered MFT, MSW, ACSW or Psy. D/Ph. D Intern in California -Must have a valid intern number registered with the state and in good standing. -Must maintain valid intern number, registration and good standing with the state as a condition of employment.
-Attend and satisfactorily complete all trainings required by the Agency, federal, state and/or local regulations. -Valid California Driver License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier. -Ability to use a personal car with appropriate insurance for all Agency business and adhering to federal, state and local motor vehicle safety standards when transporting children. Fluent in English required.
