The San Pedro Region is seeking a Client Services Regional Coordinators to bridge a critical gap in services in the Los Angeles Continuum of Care (COC). Client Services Regional Coordinators staff provides supportive services to families experiencing homelessness, with a focus on those who cannot navigate the homeless system without assistance. The focus of the Client Services Regional Coordinator is to assist participants in moving forward on the path to permanent housing.
•Ability to use Problem Solving as a strategy to prevent homelessness or reduces the length of homelessness by helping participants to preserve their current housing situation.
•Make immediate alternative arrangements for clients without having to enter shelter
•Work at multiple sites to assist at risk homeless clients gain access to CES-SPA8.
•Complete initial screening, make emergency service referrals & and administer population-appropriate CES Survey Packets.
•Input data into the case management system
•Provide an Intervention plan with homeless clients to coordinate the delivery of direct services and housing plan.
•Develop a Housing Stability Plan (HSP) for each participant enrolled in coordination with the program.
•Must rapidly stabilize participants in their current permanent housing or by assisting them to secure other, affordable, permanent housing
•Perform additional duties as assigned
•Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required in social work or mental health;
•Two to four years of case management experience.
•Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
•Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills.
•Must be organized and maintain accurate and orderly records.
•Must be able to pass a Drug Screen & Department of Justice DOJ/FBI background check.
