As part of the intake and census development department, the Outreach Coordinator acts as a liaison with the local healthcare and business community. The Outreach Coordinator identifies and develops key referral sources and builds working relationships with these contacts to maintain or increase the quality and quantity of referrals for our residential and outpatient centers.
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining contacts and/or partnerships in the community. Specifically, this position will work with local courts, hospitals, and other referral sources to increase both communication and referral flow among community organizations.
Work directly with the intake department to help determine which programs and services will best fit the needs of the client.
Maintain good relationships with intake staff, administrative personnel, and external professional groups and agencies.
Build and strengthen relationships with media, government, community and related organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
Experience in information and referral services, customer service, counseling, substance use, or human services required.
Customer/consumer focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good computer skills and experience and/or ability to use online systems and databases.
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or equivalent through Illinois Certification Board, Inc. Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association | IAODAPCA preferred or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.

Willingness to work with consumers who may be ambivalent, impaired, or have psychological disorders.
Openness to providing information about a variety of treatment options and paths to recovery based on a caller’s needs.

At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
Valid registered vehicle insurance.
