Description
Long Island Consultation Center is a community based behavioral health outpatient clinic in Elmhurst, that was established over 60 years ago. The clinic is licensed by OMH and OASAS and works with individuals who struggle with mental illness and/or substance use. The program is staff with a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioner, LMSWs, LCSWs, LCSW-Rs and CASACs. We work with individuals 6 years old and up and services include individual, family and group psychotherapy, medication for both psychiatric and substance use needs.RESPONSIBLITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
1-2 years’ experience completing assessments and providing individual, family and group psychotherapy.
Experience working with substance use, depression, anxiety, SPMI, complex trauma and psychosocial stressors of poverty, abuse, abandonment, grief/loss, foster care, and criminal justice involvement.
Familiarity with documentation requirements, including intake and assessment, medical necessity, treatment planning and clinical/psychotherapy interventions from the start of the treatment though termination.

Skills
New York State licensed LMSW, LCSW or LCSW-R
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize electronic medical record a plus.
Bilingual Clinician a plus
