Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), a behavioral health nonprofit organization, has several openings for a shared housing program based in Monmouth County. The Enhanced Service Program provides direct services to individuals who are living and recovering from mental health diagnosis who are living in a shared housing environment. The Enhanced Support Worker provides supportive services to individuals geared toward enabling residents to live independently and work toward realizing their full potential. The Enhanced Support Worker is a dynamic position incorporating elements of several roles, including case manager, social worker, skills teacher, and residential specialist. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation model preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in behavioral health discipline -OR- combination of education and work experience that is equivalent. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills is required. Strong assessment, organizational skills and ability to manage crisis. Valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record is required.
1) Works collaboratively with persons served, recently released from the psychiatric hospital, to develop and enhance living skills necessary for full community participation.
2) Model and teach living skills and assist individuals in setting and achieving personal recovery and wellness goals.
3) Must have good listening and motivational skills to effectively engage persons served and create a positive sense of community in shared housing.
