Description
The Bilingual Substance Use Treatment Counselor is responsible for the implementation and delivery of the spectrum of substance use individual, group, family and community client treatment services offered by The Center’s OASAS-licensed, part 822 outpatient substance use treatment program for LGBTQ clients ages 18 and over with a primary focus on Spanish-language services. Services include substance use treatment for individuals with significant co-occurring problems, such as mental illness, life trauma, or chronic medical conditions, as well as family counseling and sessions with significant others. Responsibilities include biopsychosocial assessments, program operations, and administration.

Skills
Bilingual Spanish/English including ability to provide monolingual Spanish-language services is required.
LMSW/LMHC/MHC-LP/LCSW or CASAC/CASAC-T; SIFI field certification to supervise students a plus.
One (1) to three (3) years minimum of clinical experience in the provision of alcohol and drug use treatment services, including conducting biopsychosocial intake assessments.

Schedule: Generally Monday through Friday. Work days and hours may shift depending on scheduling needs; typical schedule will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; flexibility required.
