Description
Licensed clinician (Psychologist/LMFT/LCSW) needed for part-time (3-4 hours/week) supervisor position with Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS), a non-profit, community mental health clinic. Responsibilities include providing group supervision to pre-licensed therapists that facilitate groups. Duties include developing, implementing, and maintaining a training curriculum for the therapists focusing on group facilitation and group dynamics, encouraging development of new groups to meet the needs of the client community, facilitating the development and implementation of the marketing plan to promote group therapy participation, advising and mentoring therapists on best practices in group therapy including the facilitation of various types of groups. The supervisor will also be responsible for administrative duties including monitoring group files to ensure proper records and documentation are maintained in accordance with clinic policy and all ethical and legal standards. Supervision and administrative duties are typically conducted on-site, but at this time are offered through video-conferencing due to the pandemic. Pay is commensurate with non-profit community clinics. Volunteer supervisors are also welcomed. Must be licensed 2 years (for BBS requirements for MFT trainees/associates).
