Position Summary: The Children’s Aid is seeking an Intake Supervisor to work as an integral part of the Intake Team. The Intake Supervisor will work in collaboration with the Intake Administrative Assistant, Intake Coordinator, Social Worker, Director of Placement Services and the Deputy Division Director to ensure foster care placements are made to meet the needs of the children entering foster care.

Supervise Intake Coordinator and Administrative Assistant.
Ensure the Administration for Children’s Services Office of Placement Administration is responded to in a timely manner via email and telephone communication regarding placements.
Review of clinical evaluations for Therapeutic Family Foster Care and determine appropriateness of referral as well as foster parent match.
Review of medical and clinical documents for Medical Foster Care and Developmental Disabilities programs and collaborate with Health and Wellness Team to determine appropriateness of referral as well as foster parent match.
Complete data entry for the electronic entry of placement movements within the agency including completing child characteristics and placement evaluations for children in care with Children’s Aid.
Ensure timely entry of movements for all children in collaboration with Health and Wellness within 3 days of movement for billing purposes.
Match placement referrals with foster parents.
Assist and review Intake and Change of Status for Admissions into foster care.
Participate in on call responsibilities to ensure placement. When they occur, on call responsibilities may include 24 hour coverage.
Attend meetings with the Administration for Children’s Services.
Serve as a Liaison with the Administration for Children’s Services Office of Placement Administration.
Participate and attend internal and external meetings as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Master’s Degree required in Social Work.
Experience with the child welfare system
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
Computer and Internet literate.
