The Homeless Prevention and Access to Benefits Department seeks an Outreach Enroller to join the NYC Care Community-based Outreach program. The role will conduct outreach to the community and in-reach to internal agency programs to attract clients and meet demanding enrollment targets, provide workshops, and schedule financial counseling appointments to educate the public about health insurance matters.

The position will contribute towards the development of relevant program specific informational material for distribution in the community, conduct workshops and presentations to targeted audience(s), act as a link between target population(s) and BronxWorks program staff, monitor outreach progress and submit reports to the Program Coordinator.

The position may require a work schedule inclusive of evenings and weekends as well as additional duties as assigned. An Associate’s degree with experience in outreach work is preferred. Proficiency in English required. Proficiency in a second language preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct outreach in the community and engage members in comprehensive case management and a service oriented relationship.
Develop and distribute relevant program specific informational material for circulation in the community.
Conduct workshops and other activities including presentations to targeted audience(s).
Act as a link between target populations and BronxWorks Workforce Development program staff.
Monitor outreach progress and submit monthly internal progress reports to supervisor.
Participate in and become involved in agency events as approved by supervisor.
Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.

Skills
QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or equivalent credentials is required.
