Description
Join the Housing Authority and make a difference! The Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino was organized in 1941 and to date is the largest provider of affordable housing in the County. We are currently looking for a SELF SUFFICIENCY SPECIALIST I to assist program participants through coordination of education, career, and employment supportive services. Reporting to the Family Empowerment Services Manager, the Self Sufficiency Specialist will be responsible for providing program guidance to program participants. Duties may include: Conducting needs assessment interviews with clients
Develop individual training and services plans
Monitor clients progress
Maintain and document client case files
Provide one-on one or group training

Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major coursework in education, management, social work, or closely related field
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in developing and implementing client-self-sufficiency, upward mobility, educational programs
Prior experience with a Housing Authority or Social Service agency a plus
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel
Highly organized and attention to detail
Bilingual Preferred

Regular Full time position: 9/80 work schedule
