The part time Client Support Specialist for the LGBTQ Transitional Living program must have lived experience and be passionate about helping LGBTQ clients connect with appropriate services and role modeling appropriate behavior.

•        Engage youth in learning about forming supportive peer communities by facilitating/co-facilitating workshops, community-building groups, and other special events.
•        Assist CM with program orientations, intakes, and assessments utilizing AWARDS Electronic Health Record system
•        Enter client information and updates in the AWARDS electronic heath record within required timelines
•        Engage with all youth in program using motivational interviewing skills and trauma informed care and support youth in evaluation/quality improvement activities in achievement of program outcomes and contract requirements
•        Assist in running focus groups with youth
•        Foster regular communication with Case Manager and Program Manager to ensure up-to-date information sharing regarding clients and issues affecting the LGBTQ community.
•        Collaborate with program staff to support meaningful engagement of youth participants in program activities
•        Provide crisis intervention and conflict de-escalation as needed.
•        Build and maintain relationships with community-based service providers, youth serving agencies, and community resources. Learn BWC programs and services and refer youth to other services within the agency as needed.
•        Support the design and implementation of programming.
•        Participate in program on-call as required.
•        Monitor the cleanliness of the house. Provide monitoring of chores for youth living in program to ensure house is maintained in clean and appropriate condition at all times. Report safety and urgent repairs to Facilities and Case Manager immediately.
•        Attend staff meetings and other agency meetings as required.
•        Prepare and process all required documents for client support and program supplies.
•        Follow agency policies and procedures regarding financial documentation and reconciling all requests.
•         Participate in agency Program Quality Improvement activities and initiatives
•         Participate in agency Safety initiatives and proactively report safety issues to management immediately
•        Regular attendance is a requirement of the position.
•        Other duties as may be assigned.

High school diploma. Lived experience as LGBTQ. Knowledge of the LGBTQ community, issues faced and cutting edge solutions and resolutions with prior experience planning and implementing peer activities. Ability to multi-task and must be detail oriented. Ability to independently prioritize workloads and manage multiple deadlines as well have a flexible schedule required. Valid CA drivers license with access to a personal vehicle with current Ins. Fingerprinting, TB test & CPR/First Aid require
