Open Positions: EAP Clinician: Remote; Per Diem; Bilingual – Spanish & English
National EAP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health clinician with a flexible schedule to provide short-term solution focused counseling via telephone/video as needed. It is preferential that candidates have experience dealing with workplace crises and be knowledgeable of workplace issues Human Resources face. Candidates must have the ability to flex their schedule around clinical demand. Evening availability required.
This is a remote position. EAP Clinician will be expected to provide services via telephone and video conferencing. Candidate must be technologically savvy and able to navigate various video platforms such as Doxy, Microsoft TEAMS and GoToMeeting/GoToWebinar.
The EAP Clinician provides behavioral health intervention services to employees who are part of an EAP program. The EAP Clinician works as part of a cohesive team to accomplish the mission of National EAP.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct EAP assessments, deliver short-term solution focused counseling and referrals to individuals and family members as necessary
Provide intensive EAP intervention, counseling & monitoring services to clients as needed
Coordinate with outside providers including EAP affiliates, medical providers, substance abuse facilities, psychiatric care etc.
Conduct virtual Critical Incident Response services as needed.
Maintain up to date information on all client and organizational activity in EAP database, calendars, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to provide effective short-term solution focused counseling
Knowledge of the EAP field
Excellent critical thinking, judgement and decision-making abilities
High boundaries with clients
Strong computer and/or technical skills, specifically proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, PP & Outlook
Skilled in written and verbal communication with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to handle client relationship management, provide strong client consultative skills and work in a team environment
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
Masters Degree in Social Work or related counseling field required
Bi-lingual Spanish & English Speaking Required
As this is a remote position, candidate must have a private area with internet access where they will be able to work from home in an appropriate setting.
Need to be able to sit for extended periods of time.
