Are you passionate about helping children and families achieve family wellness? Do you have special training in the area of 0-5, Infant Mental Health, Dyadic Treatment? Do you have experience working with this population and understand the challenges that families face? Prototypes, a program of Healthright 360, is currently looking for a Temporary Children's Therapist. The ideal candidate has experience working as a part of a collaborative team within a DMH setting and possesses excellent time management and documentation skills. Additionally, this candidate will be knowledgeable about children and families, as well as the systems that surround them. Spanish speaking language ability is strongly preferred, but not required.
Provide therapy services to clients/families, including providing services where the client lives and/or attends school.
Serve as care coordinator for clients as assigned. Responsibilities include coordination of all services with other providers and completion of all coordinated care documentation.
Co-facilitate and lead therapeutic groups.
Assist in crisis and symptom management.
Complete DMH and Internal documentation as assigned and in a timely.
Assisting with housing, benefits, employment, education, transportation, child care, medical and other needed services, as developmentally appropriate.
Assist client in developing coping skills to promote achievement of developmentally appropriate milestones.
Spanish Speaking strongly preferred, but not required.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Some experience providing therapy & case management services for children and families.
Must complete HIPAA training.
Must be able to pass background/criminal check.
Valid CA Driver License and Valid CA Automobile Insurance.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Preferred Knowledge Includes: Trauma-Informed care, 0-5 years old.
Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
This is a full-time, temporary position.
