We’re looking for someone who is excited to lead our team of passionate service providers in providing a safe and supportive recovery environment for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. The person is this role will have the opportunity to set the clinical tone of our co-occurring residential behavioral health treatment program in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. This program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that utilizes trauma-informed, gender responsive, evidence-based, and harm reduction (with a focus on abstinence) approaches to treatment.
Oversees program service and activities while ensuring compliance with contracts and licensing which includes meeting Drug MediCal standards.
Oversees management of staff and agency volunteers, which includes registered and certified AOD counselors and master's-level mental health clinicians.
Ensures all staff are trained on and competent with program policies, procedures, and practices.
Develops and maintains strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinates with other departments within and outside of the agency to ensure that client needs are being met in support of health and recovery.
Responsible for the oversight of the program needs, including safety, security, compliance, and accountability.
Responsible for meeting program quality assurance standards including documentation requirements, client experience, outcomes, and productivity.
Must be available after hours and on weekends to respond to facility emergencies and outstanding crisis or events.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education and Experience Required:
BA in Psychology/Social Work or related field with Registration/License with BBS or BOP, plus 2 years management experience and 3 years’ experience working in a residential setting.
Substance Abuse Certification or Registration recognized by ADP and High School diploma or equivalent, 5 years’ management experience and 5 years’ experience working in a residential setting.
Background Clearance: Must not be on active parole or probation.
Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications.
Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Knowledge of Medi-Cal billing practices and requirements.
Knowledge of community resources for non-profit substance abuse treatment facilities.
Experience with government contracts and compliance.
Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma informed treatment.
Experience working with criminal justice population.
