Description
We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The purpose of the Supervising Social Worker is to provide supervision to Social Workers, Social Workers in Training, and Interns. A caseload may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities
Conduct treatment planning sessions; responsible for ensuring all reports by social workers are reviewed and completed in a timely manner
Reviews social workers casework, ensures their compliance with agency’s policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and legislation
Responsible for case file review, to ensure relevant documentation of services is accurate and complete, i.e., Quarterly Reports, Progress Notes, Dental, Medical, psychological and clothing allowances
Conduct assessments or investigations involving allegations, complaints, and matters pertaining to deficiencies and non-compliance by foster parents
Maintain ongoing and open communication with Intake and QA departments: All communication shall be documented
Supervise Foster Family Social Workers in all areas of work
Assist in the hiring, evaluating and disciplinary action of workers as needed
Conduct orientation and training for prospective foster parents
Evaluate, assess applications, and complete family evaluations in the form of the Written Report as per RFA of potential foster family applicants, including doing in-depth home studies as necessary for permanency planning
Evaluate and assess children for placement
Develop and update needs and services plan and ensure the services are provided as specified in the case plan
Monitor the intake and termination process for each minor
Provide consultation and support services to resource foster parents
Complete all required documentation related to placement of children in the foster family program
Assist in the coordination and supervision of training sites and the provision of trainings to prospective and certified foster parents
Assist in the coordination of the completion of adoption home studies for all resource foster parents
Assist in the coordination of the provision of mental health services including psychiatric services to children in their respective region
Demonstrate an ability to and coach FFA Social Workers to set limits and intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the children and families served
Actively participate in the agency’s Program Quality Improvement (PQI) process as assigned
Accept/Review applications for adoption by individuals and families seeking to adopt
Oversee the scheduling of home inspections and SAFE home studies for prospective/current resource families
Monitor, complete and/or review & approve SAFE home studies for families based upon state and agency regulations
Provide support and intervention assistance to Social Workers, Foster and Adoptive parents
Other related duties as assigned

Skills
Master's degree or higher from an accredited or state-approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, or social psychology.
Three years’ experience in the field of child welfare
One or more in an administrative or managerial position
MSW Required, LCSW Preferred
Must have experience in social work, permanency planning,
Experience coordinating a program


Notes
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range we’re offering is $53,000 - $63,000 annually depending on experience.
