The Intensive Services Foster Care Social Worker will oversee cases in a home-based family care for eligible children whose needs for safety, permanency, & well-being require specially trained resource parents & intensive professional & paraprofessional services & support in order to remain in a home-based setting, or to avoid or exit congregate care in a short-term residential therapeutic program, group home, or out-of-state residential center.


Responsibilities
Assist in the recruitment & evaluation of prospective ISFC resource parents
Assist in the orientation & training of ISFC resource parents & McKinley team members
Participate in the evaluations of ISFC resource parents
Coordination of support services for ISFC resource parents
Provide supportive services for ISFC resource parents
Regular individual meetings with ISFC resource parents & children; not to exceed a caseload of 8
Regular individual meetings with ISFC children & ISFC parents as outlined in the agency program statement
Behavior interventions and management with ISFC children
Documentation of service interventions & clinical observations including case notes, initial assessment reports & quarterly progress reports
Assist with annual evaluation of ISFC resource parents
Represent the agency in meetings with county placing agencies & other collaborative associations
Daily read any incident reports & initiate any required follow-up services & additional communication for all reportable incidents to the appropriate authorities (i.e CCL, Probation, DCFS, etc.)
Attend all staff & unit meetings
As necessary, accompany state licensing or other county monitors during inspections in the resource family home
Permitting caseload may act as In-Home Support Counselor (See In-Home Support Job Description)
Any other related duties as requested

Skills
Master of Social Work or MFT, & Minimum 2 years of related Foster Family & Adoptions, Min. 2 years experience working with emotionally disturbed children who display severe behaviors
Experience working with CCL, placement & other regulatory agencies
Bilingual in Spanish required
Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB & drug screening
Ability to commute to various sites on & off campus
Ability to work extended hours as needed
Ability to physically restrain children, if needed


Notes
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range we’re offering is $22 - $27 an hour depending on experience.
