Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS), a non-profit, community-based mental health clinic, has a position available for a part-time supervisor. The position averages about 5-6 hours per week. Supervisors also attend a monthly staff meeting the first Wednesday of the month from 12-2pm. The applicant must meet credentials for clinical supervision of MFT trainees/interns and/or doctoral practicum students and interns for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the Board of Psychology.

All supervisors are responsible for reviewing progress notes and summary treatment reports as well as conducting performance evaluations with each trainee/intern. All duties are performed remotely until further notice.

LGBTQIA-Affirmative Practice Supervisor: Licensed Clinician (Psychologist/MFT/LCSW),   specializing in the understanding and implementation of LGBT Affirmative practice.
Responsibilities include providing LGBTQIA-Affirmative group supervision and individual clinical consultation as needed including crisis management with student clinicians and post graduate interns (up to 8 MFT/PhD/PsyD Trainees/Interns). Train trainees/interns in the understanding and implementation of LGBT-Affirmative practice addressing identity formation, HIV education and stigma, internalized heterosexism/homophobia/biphobia/transphobia, multicultural diversity considerations and in appropriate treatment protocols, assessment, and theoretical conceptualization through an integrated psychodynamic LGBT affirmative approach including transference and countertransference. Coordinate monthly trainings for the supervision group.
