Description
Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), a behavioral health nonprofit organization, has an opening for Enhanced Support Worker based in Paterson, NJ. The position is part-time 24 hours per week.

The Enhanced Support Worker provides supportive services to individuals geared toward enabling residents to live independently and work toward realizing their full potential. Promotes agency values through day to day interactions that support a Wellness and Recovery community culture within the home. The Enhanced Support Worker is a dynamic position incorporating elements of several roles, including case manager, social worker, skills teacher, and residential specialist. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation model preferred. Individuals working through their own recovery are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibility:
1) Works collaboratively with persons served, recently released from the psychiatric hospital, to develop and enhance living skills necessary for full community participation.
2) Model and teach living skills and assist individuals in setting and achieving personal recovery and wellness goals.
3) Must have good listening and motivational skills to effectively engage persons served and create a positive sense of community in shared housing.

Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelors in behavioral health discipline -OR- combination of education and work experience that is equivalent.
Excellent written, verbal and computer skills.
Strong assessment and organizational skills.
Ability to manage crisis.
Valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record.
