Puente del Pueblo (PdP)
OCM partners with Wheaton Bible Church and Iglesia del Pueblo to form Puente del Pueblo, which serves the residents of both the Timber Lake and Main Park apartment complexes in West Chicago, IL. Community support and programs include case management, adult literacy, ESL tutoring, after school programs for elementary, junior high and high school students, and community events. OCM provides the leadership staff for this program.
The Bilingual Site Director will be responsible for providing leadership for a 15-member staff team, working closely with the PdP Leadership Team on planning and budgeting, managing relationships across two partner organizations and deepening community relationships with schools, police, churches and other service organizations. The Bilingual Site Director will provide oversight for the day-to-day operations of Puente del Pueblo including supervision, volunteer recruitment and management, planning and program excellence, outcome reports, financial management, grant management, coordination of services between programs and oversight of the physical maintenance of program facilities. This position reports to the OCM Senior Programs Officer for Neighborhood Services, serves as a member of the OCM Management Team and actively participates on local outreach and director/pastoral leadership teams at Wheaton Bible Church.
Full-time. 40-50 hours per week. Monday-Friday with some evenings and weekends for community events and church engagement.
Demonstrated ability to provide faith leadership. Ability to commit to church attendance at Wheaton Bible Church or Iglesia del Pueblo for the purpose of building relationships to bridge the church and community and embrace a model of incarnational ministry. A commitment to OCM’s and Wheaton Bible Church’s Statement of Faith is required.
