Therapist with LCSW or LCPC and strong background in substance use is needed for the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. The duties of the Therapist is to provide therapeutic intervention and advanced counseling services to clients and their families to enhance comprehensive, integrated and uninterrupted treatment in the agency and to have continuity of care in the community. Our mission is to improve the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. The therapist will maintain the culture and quality of life that is experienced by the clients of Arundel Lodge. The day-to day job and most critical responsibility of a therapist is to assist people towards their journey of recovery from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use during the Person Centered Treatment Planning process. The therapist is expected to practice the Recovery Model in all interactions with persons served. These elements are non-linear and holistic, and emphasize hope, personal responsibility, peer support, respect, empathy, non-stigmatizing language, empowerment, using individual strengths, and self-determination. Arundel Lodge provides initial and on-going training and support to the therapist concerning the Recovery Model and the therapist is evaluated on his/her use of the Recovery Model to perform his/her assigned job responsibilities. The therapist demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with clients, families, visitors, and co-workers in accordance with Arundel Lodge departmental policies and procedures and the Recovery Model Philosophy.
