ICL is seeking qualified candidates for a Behavioral Specialist 1 role in the Brooklyn and Bronx for its IMT teams. The Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) program is a community-based program that provides treatment and case management services to people with serious mental illness. Most services are provided wherever the person may need them, such as shelters, streets, supported housing, or jail. Many of the people served by IMT experience psychosis, homelessness, substance use, and criminal justice involvement. The program utilizes a team approach and has a small caseload in order to provide optimal care.
The Behavioral Health Specialist I, with collaboration of the Program Director, has the responsibility for providing clinical support and supervision to the Behavioral Health Specialist II and III. This position participates in the provision of crisis intervention services to participants 24 hours a day, seven days a week, within the community.
Must Haves
•        Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the NYS Education Department.
•        Two years clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use, homelessness and criminal justice involvement.
•        Supervisory experience preferred.
