Description
The Program Director is tasked with the day to day management and operation of the Short-Term Family Housing program including compliance with all policies, procedures and contract requirements, and preparing required reports to funders. In addition, the Program Director:
•        Ensures that the facility is a safe, comfortable and secure environment for residents
•        S/he supervises staff and oversee life skills and other programming for residents
•        Responsible for compliance with the annual budget and ensures accurate invoicing and financial recordkeeping
•        S/he is on call 24 hours 7/ days per week
•        Conducts regular and unscheduled audits of the program, the facility, and resident case records to ensure compliance with applicable program requirements
•        S/he develops, delivers and evaluates in service training for all staff members and provides opportunities for continuing professional development and training to ensure that all staff meet training and certification requirements   

NECESSARY SKILLS:
•        Familiarity with Brief Strengths-based Case Management and/or Brief Strengths-based Case Management for Substance Abuse
•        Training in Motivational Interviewing assessment, trauma treatment (Seeking Safety, preferred)
•        Experience working with homeless and other at-risk populations
•        Experience/expertise in client assessment
•        Ability to supervise and provide leadership to staff members
•        Knowledge of contract management
•        Ability to build, motivate, and work within an interdisciplinary team
•        Knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to shelter programs
•        Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines as required

Notes
QUALIFICATIONS:

•        Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or related social service field, required.
•        Minimum four years’ professional supervisory and/or managerial experience in the field of human services and/or Medicaid service delivery
