Description
Role Summary: This position has the responsibility of carrying out clinical duties assigned by the Program Director and/or Program Supervisor. Therapist will provide individual, family and/or group therapy as well as case management services. Therapist must be proficient with delivering services in a variety of settings (home, school, community, office) and maintain a flexible work schedule in order to respond to clients’ needs. Therapist will serve families involved with the child welfare/juvenile justice systems. Work will focus on maintaining clients in the least restrictive setting by the addressing relevant clinical and systemic factors.
Essential Functions: In addition to the expectations outlined in Haven Family Services (HFS) Clinical Protocols, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Contact all parties within 24 hours after receiving a new referral. Collaborate with clients, foster parents, etc. in coordinating a consistent therapy schedule between children and family members identified on the referral.
Establish a working relationship and rapport with clients/families.
Complete an assessment and treatment plan with each client/family as dictated by clinical protocols.
Provide planned interventions that are based on the treatment plan and are commensurate with the therapist’s training and education.
Collaborate with team members, social services and community resources on behalf of clients/families; Attend meetings as needed.
Ensure that all services and clinical outcomes are documented and that reports are completed within required timeframes.
Problem-solve crises in an efficient and effective manner; Provide clinical on-call coverage as assigned by the Program Director and/or Program Supervisor.
Maintain a professional license with the appropriate state entity and secure/maintain credentials as required by other regulatory bodies and funding sources.
Ensure client information is kept confidential.
Participate in clinical and administrative supervision as required by the employee’s licensing board, Medicaid regulations, agency accreditation standards and program clinical protocols.
Attend a minimum of 40 hours of training per year to maintain supervisory and credentialing provisions dictated by individual certifications and regulatory agencies.
Operate an agency vehicle as needed.
Other duties as assigned.


Skills
Qualifications: Education,Master’s Degree in Human Services from an accredited university.
Experience/Credentials,At least 2 years clinical experience working with at-risk/multi-problem families. Experience working in community-based settings, including schools and homes. Must have applicable professional licensure (e.g. LCSW, CSW, LPCA, LPCC, MFTA, LMFT).Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license Successful completion of background screening, TB Test and background check.


Notes
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in clients’ homes, schools, DCBS offices, District Courts, and in an administrative office environment. S/he will encounter BGH clients, clients’ families and other support persons, BGH staff members, volunteers and other members of the community.
