Job Description:Boys & Girls Haven is seeking a Therapist to work in a Residential cottage setting with at-risk tween and teen youth.Role Summary: Seeking a therapist with a wide range of experience to assist clients in an individual, family/guardian or a group setting. Must be proficient with delivering services in a variety of settings and maintain a flexible work schedule in order to respond to emergency requests.
Essential Functions:In addition to the expectations outlined in Boys & Girls Haven (BGH) Clinical Protocols, essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Treatment:-Plan, organize & coordinate an individualized treatment plan for each youth & family as per clinical protocol, which is consistent with the residential treatment protocols.
-Provide individual, group & family therapy to all residents & their families.
-Minimum standards include one individual & two group sessions per week & ensure clinical procedures are documented & completed in a timely manner.
-Collaborate with social services & community resources on behalf of residents/families.
-Participate in team meetings to address management issues & to review residents progress toward treatment goals & objectives.
-Provide clinical input through attendance at Treatment Team Meetings.
-Function as a caring & therapeutic role model who demonstrates respect for youth and staff. -Ensure client information is kept confidential.
-Ability to follow & administer BGHs STEPS educational, Seven Challenges and Trauma/Informed Care models.
-Additional clinical duties as required.
Safe Crisis Management:
-Ability to follow & administer SCM when necessary.
Professional Development:Attend a minimum of 40 hours of training per year to maintain supervisory & credentialing provisions dictated by individual certifications & regulatory agencies.

-Masters degree in human services.
-At least 2 years clinical experience working with adolescents and families, preferably in a residential treatment or hospital setting. -
-Must have applicable professional licensure (i.e. CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, MFTA, LMFT)

Must be at least 21 years old. Valid drivers license and insurability by BGHs carrier. Ability to consistently demonstrate professionalism, cooperative attitude, emotional control and positive acceptance of criticism and authority. Capability, commitment and flexibility to carry out position description in accord with BGH policies and values Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram.
