Diaspora Community Services is a social support agency that empowers families and individuals to maximize their abilities to succeed through culturally sensitive health promotion, family support services and advocacy.

Job Summary

Diaspora Community Services seeks an experienced Social Worker, LMSW - Domestic Violence(DV), Youth advocate who is familiar with NYC DV networks, coalition and public benefits. The position requires working across Diaspora's current programs to identify participants, engage them and implement a robust program that takes into consideration issues of bias, anti-racism and the need for cultural competency.

Preferred Qualifications

LMSW or LCSW or LMHC- 5 Years of experience in Case Management, specifically working with diverse (gender, sexual orientation, age) domestic violence (sexual assault, sexual trafficking) survivors and youth, to provide coordinated services at the community based level. Haitian Kreyol speaking highly preferred or bilingual Spanish. Must be able to work flexible hours this includes after hours and weekends.
