Position Summary: The Family Wellness Program provides comprehensive trauma-informed services to families who are affected by intimate partner violence. Our goal is to help those who have experienced intimate partner violence and other forms of abuse to establish long-term safety and heal from the effects of trauma. We are seeking a Supervisor of Domestic Violence (DV) Case Management to supervise and oversee coordination of the program’s case management and advocacy services to survivors of intimate partner violence and their families in accessing any and all services tailored to their needs to support gaining safety and stability.
•Provide coordination and direct management of the program’s team of 3 domestic violence advocates/case managers as they address the short and long-term concrete and emotional needs of survivors of intimate partner violence;
•Provide ongoing and regular individual and group supervision to case managers to address cases, professional development and self-care;
•Provide comprehensive needs assessment, crisis intervention, criminal justice advocacy and accompaniment, safety planning, and concrete case management to a caseload of individuals and families affected by intimate partner violence;
•Assist in completing applications, filing claims for the Office of Victim Services compensation, and applying for and advocating for benefits available to survivors of violence;
•Develop effective working partnerships with community-based organizations, and government and public agencies, including within the criminal justice, public benefits, safe housing, legal advocacy systems;
•Conduct outreach activities to community-based organizations and informational workshops to develop referral relationships and increase program profile;
•Oversee and assist case management teams in outreach and partnership building initiatives with survivors and the agencies that come into contact with survivors.
•Monitor referrals, case manager caseloads, and service objectives to ensure alignment with performance measures and projected contract goals;
•Maintain up-to date client case management records, and compile data for internal and contractual reporting requirements;
•Participate in all team and program meetings, and maintain open communication with supervisors and team members as needed.
•Lead monthly case review with case management team.
•Attend trainings relevant to position, including crisis intervention and short term counseling trainings;
•Provide clients with crisis counseling and short-term counseling as needed;
•Provide training and consultation as needed;
•Collaborate with other service providers internally and externally as needed.
•Serve as point person with contract program managers and oversee site visits by contract program managers.
• Bilingual Spanish/English fluency;
• Master’s degree in social work or related field;
• Minimum of 3 years’ case management or counseling experience in social service and/or victim service fields;
• Previous supervisory experience managing case management staff;
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including but not limited to differences in race, socioeconomic background, culture, religion, age, gender, disability, and sexual orientation;
