New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC) is an award-winning not-for-profit agency in Midtown Manhattan, with a satellite Bronx office, dedicated to serving children and families with medical complexity, chronic health conditions, significant disabilities and behavioral challenges. To assist in achieving this mission, NAC is currently seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to join its Quality Improvement Department.

Description of Responsibilities:
Perform Quality Improvement support for NAC’s Prevention Program to:

•Coordinate and conduct Case Record/Chart Review activities and prepare reports, aggregating data, analyzing trends, and working collaboratively with program staff regarding follow-up activities and improvements, as required.
•Complete monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports by program reporting results of reviews, trends and patterns, and identified required corrective actions to assist in and support continuous quality improvement efforts
•Participate in CoQI meetings and ACS initiatives for targeted quality improvement
•Assist in audit preparation, audits, and formulation of corrective action plans (CAPs)
•Attend external meetings and trainings as required
•Maintain up to date knowledge of the program regulations and any changes that occur in order to ensure compliance and rules and regulation, including assessment of PAMS draft methodologies for the prevention program.
•Maintain knowledge of the various electronic management systems used by NAC programs including CONNECTIONS, PROMIS, myEvolv, etc. for data review and reporting purposes.
•Assist in QI activities including data collection and analysis for other programs which may include Healthy at Home, Partners in Parenting, Post Legal Adoption Network, Kinship, ASD, etc., as needed or assigned
•Other QI tasks such as best practice reviews, special projects, as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
•Master’s Degree in Social Work, Health and Human Services, or related field
•Prior quality improvement and preventive services experience preferred. Prior work with children and families a plus.

•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with good public speaking and presentation skills.
