Assistant Director of Clinical Services            
The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (The NYSPCC) seeks an experienced, devoted professional with strong clinical, leadership and organizational skills to serve as the Assistant Director of Clinical Services. Only applicants with an LCSW, PhD or PsyD and New York State licensure will be considered.

The Assistant Director of Clinical Services position will play an essential role in supporting the agency mission of effectively responding to the complex needs of abused and neglected children, and those involved in their care. For more information on The NYSPCC Programs visit

The Assistant Director of Clinical Services, in partnership with the Director of Clinical Services, will support all activities of the Clinical Services Department including, but not limited to, the following:

•        Provides clinical supervision to a vibrant and collegial team of mental health professionals
•        Manages referrals and cases assignments for the Trauma Recovery Program, Therapeutic Visitation Program, and Crisis Debriefing Program
•        Manages staff caseloads, paperwork compliance and data entry
•        Develops program policies and procedures; prepares documents to support program operations
•        Provides trauma-focused services to a small caseload of low-income children and families in the Trauma Recovery Program and the Therapeutic Supervised Visitation Program
•        Provides crisis debriefings to child welfare professionals
•        Supports the development, delivery and promotion of training curricula on topics such as sexual abuse prevention, trauma-informed care, and wellness/self-care to diverse audiences
•        Builds and leverages community partnerships to further expand The NYSPCC’s reach
•        Supports the Research Department in program evaluation and dissemination efforts
•        Supports the Development Department to secure funding for all programs

•        LCSW, PhD or PsyD, and New York State licensure required; a minimum of three years post-LCSW/PsyD/PhD experience preferred

•        Experience in leadership, program development and staff supervision required
•        Experience working with survivors of violence and trauma required
•        Excellent oral and written communication skills -including public speaking- required
•        Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) required
•        Familiarity implementing evidence-based practices preferred
•        Bilingual (English/Spanish)a plus
