SUPERVISOR: Foster Care and Adoption Supervisor
HOURS: Work hours generally 9-5, but may require one evening or more for clients who need to be seen after 5 PM. Provides 24 hour on call coverage and Saturday coverage on a rotating basis.
RESPONSIBILITY: Coordinates services for a caseload of 10 – 11 families in NAC's SFFC program where there is at least one child with a diagnosis of mental retardation and/or a developmental disability).
• Provides casework and clinical services to children and families utilizing individual, group and family modalities.
•Provides intensive social work services to children and families in order to implement the goals and tasks of the Family Assessment and Service Plan (FASP).
•Conducts home visits to families.
•Ensures adherence to agency policies and ACS regulatory requirements.
•Makes adequate use of individual and group supervision, on-site clinical trainings and mental health in-service.
•Completes ACS and NAC paperwork in a timely manner and ensures that documentation conforms to agency, City and State regulatory requirements.
•Participates as a Clinical Diagnostic Team member in formulating family assessments and service plans.
•Participates in Family Team Conferences for assigned caseload.
Required Education and Experience:
•MSW from an accredited school of social work, LMSW required within 6 months of date of hire
•Proficiency in Spanish is preferred;
•Knowledge of health-related factors in working children with mental retardation and/or developmental delays and/or developmental disabilities, and
•Experience in child development a plus;
•Prior experience in foster care/adoption services, child welfare, and/or health care preferred.
