Description
Position Summary: Homefinder to work within Homefinding Department to assess and certify foster parents and conduct yearly recertifications.

Responsibilities:
•Maintain a caseload of 15-20 foster parent applicants and/or kinship foster parents
•Complete foster parent homestudies
•Maintain up-to-date records: physical and Connections record
•As part of the homestudy process: conduct homevisits, gather documents, interview, assess the physical space as well as the motivation and overall functioning of the family
•Understanding and adhering to foster care regulations
•Conduct MAPP training and/or foster parent training (as needed)
•Complete foster parent recertifications
•Participate in supervision, monthly unit/department meetings, and in-service trainings
•Participate in case conferences (as needed)
•Homefinder may be asked to: handle initial inquiries, participate in orientations, and recruitment events
•Other duties as necessary

Qualifications:
•Bachelors Degree in Social Work or a related field required
•Knowledge of the Foster Care/Child Welfare - Required
•Experience in writing Homestudies (psychosocial assessments)
•Excellent interviewing and assessment skills
•Excellent oral and writing skills
•Good organization skills
•Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
•Computer literacy – Excel, Word, Outlook, Connections
•Bilingual – English/Spanish - Required
•MAPP certification - Preferred
