We’re looking for a dynamic and self-motivated LCSW or LMFT to join the behavioral health team at our Integrated Care Center (ICC) located in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood. At the ICC, we provide behavioral health services, primary care medical services, and dental services for those most in need. Behavioral health services are a vital element of the HealthRight360 integrated care model. This model emphasizes quality mental health care, that places client needs first, while adhering to sound treatment practices.
The BH Department engages clients both individually and in groups, with the goal of empowering the people we serve to improve their mental and emotional health and wellness. We provide professional, supportive care through evidence-based practices. The BH Department operates on the premise all persons deserve mental health care in parity with all other forms of treatment.
The Behavioral Health Therapist (BHT) is responsible for providing clinically and culturally competent outpatient mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) services to clinic patients, including:
Brief Behavioral Interventions
Intake: evaluation and diagnosis
Supportive Short-term Counseling/Psychotherapy
Appropriate Internal/External Referrals
The BHT is expected to maintain a high level of professional competence and maintain ethical standards as they work collaboratively as part of an integrated healthcare team. The BHT will be required to maintain accurate and timely records of services provided.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Graduation from an accredited school within applicants’ professional discipline
Registered with CA Board of Behavioral Sciences
Possession of a valid CA license as an LCSW or LMFT
Familiarity and comfort working with issues related to homelessness, substance abuse, mental health diagnosis, and history of trauma
Experience in the following areas:
Short?term, Evidence?based Counseling
Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications
Desire to work in a non-judgmental and culturally competent environment with a diverse patient population
Must be a team player with Strong initiative, enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in whenever needed
Must not be on active parole or probation
