The primary responsibilities of the Admissions Clinician include providing direct participant care in a manner that exemplifies HealthRIGHT 360’s philosophy, goals, policies, mission and vision through the provision of all aspects of residential entry services. Admissions Clinicians conduct level of care assessments, treatment planning, determining medical necessity and evaluations to identify behaviors and problems related to a participant’s addiction and potential co-occurring disorders. S/he acts as an administrative liaison between the agency and outside organizations. Admissions Clinicians will be responsible for entering data into multiple databases and signing off on the LPHA portion of other intakes being performed. Admissions Clinicians are expected to communicate with referral sources, appropriate funders, and HealthRIGHT 360 personnel. Admissions Clinician is responsible for client item inventory upon intake and room walk through upon discharge. Admissions Clinician will be responsible for logging in medications and urine analysis upon intake. They will demonstrate an understanding of the range of treatment needed by participants served. Must enjoy working as a member of a diverse team in a cooperative effort and be able to exercise creative and independent judgment to solve problems. May also be assigned a caseload.
1. Works as an active member and closely collaborates with internal and external team members.
2. Maintains appropriate ethical boundaries with all clients and family served.
3. Conducts intakes and determines appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria and able to document effectively how client meets medical/service necessity at that level of care.
4. Utilize appropriate electronic systems to enter bed nights, and keep accurate records of intake dates, discharge dates and child count on-site to ensure program in in compliance with business license.
5. Sign off on other treatment team assessments and treatment plans.
6. Arrange work schedule in accordance with agency's needs which may include weekends, overnights and holidays.
