Under the general direction of the Senior Director, plans, develops, manages and evaluates the Health Care Initiative coordination of services to the communities and parishes of Brooklyn & Queens as well as Agency programs. This includes supervision of healthcare staff. In addition, the Assoc. Director Health Care Initiative performs tasks of planning/budgeting and acts as representative of the Agency to parish and community groups/organizations.

•        Hire, supervise and evaluate staff. Provides administrative supervision. Manages service coordination supervisor/s, support staff, and others as needed.
•        Develop and manage budget and statistical reporting requirements for each program component.
•        Responsible for completion of staff annual Employee Performance Appraisal.
•        Convene weekly program staff meetings, attend and actively participates in conjoint meeting and program directors convened by Senior Director of Community Programming.
•        Manage, lead, motivate, train and monitor the development of healthcare service coordination consisting of advocacy, concrete services, information, referral and group work for community and Agency groups, individuals and families. Arrange for staff training as needed.
•        Serves as main contact point for healthcare service coordination needs for the Brooklyn & Queens parishes, community organizations and Agency programs.
•        Work collaboratively with the Senior Director to evaluate and determine the most effective services and programming to serve the communities of Brooklyn and Queens.
•        Work collaboratively with the Parish & Community Relations Directors in evaluating and determining processes and procedures to help organize client, community, and parish populations to define their healthcare services needs and to help them effect solutions in their communities. This includes advocacy initiatives that address policy matters.
•        With input from healthcare staff, ensure updated resources by developing and maintaining a working relationship with various service providers, both internally and externally.
•        Ensure that healthcare staff provide client services in accordance with agency mission and best practices.

•        Masters degree in Healthcare or related field

•        Two years supervisory and/or administrative experience.
•        Computer and software skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
•        Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•        Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
•        Excellent written and verbal command of the English language
•        Strong organizations skills

•        Ability to work on multiple tasks.
•        Ability to lift and carry reasonable amount of office supplies
•        Frequent sitting, walking, reaching, talking, & listening.
•        Occasional standing.
•        Should be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, & office equipment.
•        Ability to read printed materials and computer screens.
