Position: Part- Time Respite Quality Assurance Consultant.
Program: non-certified OPWDD HCBS Hourly Respite operated by a voluntary agency.
Hours: 2 days/week
The Respite Quality Assurance Consultant will assist the Special Needs Program Director and staff to meet and maintain regulatory compliance with Local, NY State and Federal codes and regulations. The Quality Assurance Consultant will assist in preparing the Respite Program for program audits and follow-up on training issues, assist in investigations, develop and execute training programs in compliance with State and Federal regulations, attend internal and external meetings as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Continuous development, implementation and improvement of the Respite Program's Quality Assurance and Training programs, including Personal Outcome Measures and Core Competencies.
Work with the Respite Program to prepare for external (e.g. DQI, OPWDD, etc.) reviews/audits, as well as assure that the program is providing services in accordance with agency standards, governing agency and accreditation requirements.
Conduct internal audits and inspections annually and as needed, and prepare detailed written reports of findings and deficiencies.
Complete entries into OPWDD Incident Report and Management Application (IRMA) as needed.
Provides detailed written reports using Justice Center and OPWDD approved format within required time frames.
Conducts and ensures thorough and independent Investigation of Reportable Incidents as defined by Part 624 guidelines.
Administration of Consumer Satisfaction Survey, and monitor plans of correction.
Completes Policy Handbook including all mandated OPWDD policies
Responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance with participant and agency confidentiality standards and ethical expectations
