Overview: The Door’s mission is to empower young people ages 12-21 to reach their potential by providing accessible, comprehensive youth development services – health care, counseling, education, legal services, the arts and recreation – in a diverse and supportive environment. The Program Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the Door’s East 9th Street supportive housing program. In addition, the position provides clinical supervision to a team of 6 Resident Life Coaches (RLCs), carry a small caseload of residents, and, when needed, provides MSW Intern supervision.
The East 9th Street Foyer provides 40 units of permanent, supported housing for young adults aged 18 - 26 at risk of homelessness, including young people who are parents of a toddler, young people aging out of foster care, young people with mental illness, and chronically homeless young people. The Lee provides 54 units of permanent, supported housing for young adults aged 18 - 26 at risk of homelessness, young people aging out of foster care, and young people with mental illness.
The Supervisor will be a proven leader who is able to manage with a good deal of independence. He/she/they will be the lead staff member on-site responsible for daily operations of the 9th Street building, program quality, partner relationships, program reporting, managing expenses, collaboration with other Door programs, and the overall direction of the program and its staff. Skills
•Clinically licensed Master’s Degree in Social Work (LCSW) required.
•A minimum of 2 years of management experience providing supportive housing services to a special needs population, specifically those with significant mental illness, is strongly preferred
•A minimum of 2 years experience providing services to adolescents, including assessment and counseling
•Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
•Excellent oral and written communications skills
