CFTSS are an array of clinical and rehabilitative services provided in the home and other community settings and are intended to identify behavioral health needs early and intervene to keep children on their developmental trajectory and avoid the need for higher end services and institutional placement.
The Supervisor of the CFTSS Program provides effective leadership to program staff, and has knowledge of the program, organization and the function of the department and its policies and procedures. In close collaboration with staff from multiple disciplines, (s) he will develop, support and supervise the delivery of CFTSS. This position supports NAC’s mission to provide the highest quality care by complying with regulatory guidelines and meeting agency standards. This an exciting opportunity to develop and implement a new Medicaid funded program in close collaboration and partnership with the CFTSS Director.
•Will play an active role in program development by creating, writing and implementing program policy and best practice.
•Will be the face of the program by participating in internal and external meetings, teaching and promoting the program.
•Recruit new staff and doing external outreach for clients, by developing relationships with other providers and entities.
•Provides regular one-on-one supervision to assigned CFTSS Providers.
•Monitors CFTSS providers and the provision of services. This includes regularly confirming provider availability for work, referring cases to appropriate providers, communicating with members of other departments, reading and approving documentation, and processing time sheets. Is also responsible for assuring all guidelines for service provision (e.g., Medical Necessity) are met.
•Participates in team meetings, training and other program or agency-wide meetings as needed.
•Reviews billing and data entry reports for accuracy. Ensures that providers are offering services in accordance with family preferences and agency expectations.
•Oversees the timely and complete submission of required documents for Medicaid billing.
•Assists in the recruitment, screening, interviewing and hiring of CFTSS providers.
•Plans, implements and ensures that all CFTSS Providers are properly trained and are up-to-date on all required trainings.
•Attends recruitment events/career fairs throughout the NYC region in order to increase our CFTSS provider staffing pool.
•Establishes contacts and resources in the community in order to gain referrals for new CFTSS providers and clients.
•Develops relationships with Managed Care Organizations and Health Homes in an effort to market the program.
•Stays informed of upcoming events and creates marketing materials to post and advertise for the CFTSS program.
•Initially screens resumes received from outreach efforts.
•Coordinates group and individual interviews based on current staffing needs.
•Screens the application packets and determine which applicants should be sent to HR for reference checks.
•Maintains status updates of each applicant’s progress through the hiring and training process by conducting ongoing communication with HR.
HOURS: This is a full time position. Evenings and Saturday hours will be required to perform this role.
