Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), mental health and peer led not-for-profit organization, seeks a compassionate individual to join our agency to provide services to homeless and other at risk population in Newark, NJ. The Support Worker will work directly with the residents to re-establish valued roles in the community and work on preset goals. Work in a variety of ways to promote self-sufficiency. The Support Worker will be able to manage time to ensure all documentation is up to date and residents are seen on a regular basis. Must be self-motivated to work independently in the field and work with the team as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelors in Social Work or related field and 1 year work experience working in a residential setting –OR- equivalent. Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are required. Ability to manage crisis; strong computer skills and valid NJ drivers’ license and acceptable driving record is required. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation models a plus.
