1. Supervises all nursing, clerical, ancillary staff and medical providers on-site and within the health care network.
2. Works with HR department to recruits, on-boards, and off-boards staff.
3. Implements the policies and procedures of all regulatory agencies.
4. Develops and implements the policies and procedure in compliance with agency standard of practice relating to the provision of quality health care to children in foster care.
5. Develops and implements the policies and procedures regarding HIV/AIDS and the services provided to children and families.
6. Provides in-service training on HIV/AIDS and other medical issues to agency staff.
7. Works with VP to develop, monitor, and maintain Medicaid Budget.
8. Assists in the selection of appropriate medical providers for children with special needs.
9. Interprets and provides guidance on preventive health care to foster children and families when indicated.
10. Liaison for staff with Administration, local hospitals, and outside providers.
11. Attends departmental meetings and communicates with staff issues relating to new and revised agency policies and procedures.
12. Works with VP to prepare for Medicaid redesign.
13. Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Degree: Bachelor’s Degree. Registered Nurse with New York State License

Other skills and requirements:

Minimum 5 years in Pediatric Nursing and/or Community Health at a Supervisory or Head Nurse Level.
Knowledge of Child Welfare system and regulations governing foster care and adoption.

Preferred Knowledge of 29-I, Medicaid Redesign, and CFTSS.
