Cultivating and securing major gifts through prospective Individuals, Corporations and Organizations in assigned area.


-Increase and diversify Major Donor base so as to advance donor cultivation, enlistment and solicitation.
-Research and identification of prospective Individual, Corporate and Major Donors.
-Initiate contacts, establish relationships and provide on-going follow up with community organizations that have potential Major Donors.
-Establish and maintain relationships with a portfolio of approximately 150 Major Donors and businesses who are current or prospective partners and investors in our work.
-Meet or exceed annual fundraising goal on personal portfolio per PNW Development Director.
-As part of the Development team provide leadership and insight on major giving and input and assistance on overall fundraising strategies.
-Communicate regularly with major donors via email, letters, phone calls and meetings in person.
-Meet with Major Donors and schedule meetings for Executive Director and/or Trustees.
-Work with Trustee Board to expand board membership.
-Attend chamber, community, networking events.
-Develop a positive working relationship with staff, volunteers, board members, donors, and community supporters.
-Attend business-related functions as Olive Crest’s representative.
-Expand awareness of Olive Crest thru connections with public officials, volunteers, groups and churches.
-Participate in all fundraising events.
-Coordinate and attend speaking engagements on behalf of Olive Crest and assists with public relations.
-Seek out sponsorships available in the community.
-Attend available trainings to expand knowledge of best practices of fundraising, data base management and job skills.


-Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
-Self-starter with knowledge of the Seattle-Puget Sound area fundraising climate.
-Strong listening skills.
-Independent and self-motivated.
-Successful track record.
-A philosophy of support for abused children in line with values, mission and treatment philosophy of Olive Crest.


-Bachelor’s Degree
