Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey, Inc. (CSPNJ), a peer led not-for-profit organization, has a full-time Wellness Associate for a hospital diversion program based in Newark, NJ. The position is for 40 hours per week and is eligible for benefits.
SCHEDULE: Sunday (4pm - 12:30am), Monday (4pm - 12:30am), Tuesday (4p - 12:30am), Wednesday (4pm - 12:30am), Thursday (12am - 8:30am)
Responsibilities: The qualified candidate will be a peer mental health professional. Under the direction of the Program Manager will provide supportive services geared toward facilitating the center guests’ successful stay, learning crisis coping skills and working toward realizing their full potential. Work as part of a team, to provide services consistent with agency’s mission, vision, values, Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles and the concept of wellness and recovery. Qualifications: Bachelors in related field and 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are required. Ability to manage crisis; strong computer skills; valid NJ drivers’ license required. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation model preferred. Position is eligible for benefits. Individuals working through their own recovery are strongly encouraged to apply.
