The STRTP Residential Therapist performs individual, group and family therapy and/or psychosocial rehabilitation services, and develops appropriate mental health treatment plans. The STRTP Residential Therapist is part of the client’s treatment team and is responsible for providing information and feedback regarding the client’s behaviors and responses to interventions to the treatment team. The therapist documents all service according to Department of Mental Health, Penny Lane and Joint Commission guidelines.
The STRTP Residential Therapist possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with clients, outside agencies, and co-workers. When in a client’s group home, the STRTP Residential Therapist will employ a calm demeanor and good ethical and professional boundaries. Excellent clinical skills are used to assess the appropriate level of care for clients and stabilize clients in crisis. Teaming, collaborating and coordination of care with all Penny Lane staff, DCFS, DMH, and other outside agencies is crucial. This position requires flexibility, excellent time management skills and the ability to manage responsibilities efficiently.

•AMFT, ACSW, LMFT, or LCSW registered with the California BBS. Or Registered or Licensed Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology.
•Minimum of a Master’s Degree in the mental health field.
•Preferred 2 years’ experience.
•Experience is defined as post master’s experience working with children, adolescents and families.
•Must have a current valid California driver’s license and current automobile insurance. Must have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company. Must have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

$56,450 up to $68,500 per year
