SRO Housing Corporation is recruiting for highly motivated Case Managers to join on our dynamic team serving the downtown area of Los Angeles, an area more commonly known as the Skid Row community. With over 35 years of experience, SRO Housing Corporation has a unique insight into the needs of the community it serves.   This position is strategic to the care of those we serve. If hired you would provide case management services for clients who are homeless and present with special needs; screen and assess client situations; assist in developing, implementing and monitoring an Individual Action Plan tailored specifically to each client's needs; provide information and assistance to clients in obtaining services offered by SRO Housing Corporation and other community resources.

Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services area, e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Gerontology, Human Services, Anthropology, Public Health and one to two years social service experience in a nonprofit environment; or an Associate degree in a Human Services area and demonstrated successful experience in a community-based, social-service agency with three or more years experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment; specific training/experience working with homeless persons living with HIV/AIDS, as well as persons with other co-occurring conditions such as mental illness, substance addiction, etc. Relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for the educational requirement.

Knowledge of interviewing and assessment techniques; crisis-management techniques; psychosocial and mental health factors affecting quality of life; data management; homeless-related issues; general computer knowledge; community resources; SRO Housing programs and services; basic social work skills; issues affecting persons living with HIV/AIDS, mentally ill, substance abusing clients, and the elderly.
