About the Role
Clarvida is seeking a Youth and Family Support Specialist to work with families of children experiencing severe emotional disturbance. In this role, you will engage families in a family-centered treatment plan that highlights strengths, supports, and needs. You will use this plan to provide counseling, mentoring, linkage to community resources, and ongoing assessment of progress and changes.

This position works independently with clients while receiving regular, supportive supervision. The role also includes participation in a rotating on-call service to support foster parents by phone, virtually, or in person when needed.

Responsibilities
Engage families in family-centered treatment planning based on strengths and needs
Provide counseling, mentoring, and skills-based support to youth and families
Conduct ongoing assessments of progress and changing needs
Link families to appropriate community-based services and resources
Support placement stability and family relationships
Collaborate with supervisors, case managers, and service providers
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for foster parent support
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
Deliver services across office, home, and community settings

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services–related field
Experience working with or knowledge of the needs of high-risk youth
Strong planning, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
Knowledge of local educational, vocational, recreational, and counseling resources
Understanding of and experience working with diverse faith traditions within the community
Valid Driver’s License in good standing and active automobile insurance
Ability to obtain an Illinois Driver’s License within 30 days of hire if relocating from out of state
CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
