Job Description:
Arizona State University’s Employee Assistance Office is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Licensed Social Worker to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will design, coordinate, and deliver a range of services including programming, training, peer counseling, group facilitation, grief support and response. Educational workshops, referrals, and short-term support for university employees, their spouses, and dependents will be required. This position is instrumental in promoting employee wellbeing, fostering a culture of wellness, and building collaborative partnerships within the broader community to deliver impactful support services.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or related field with current State of Arizona license through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE), AND, one year of experience in peer counseling, case management, OR program management. OR, any equivalent combination of experience and /or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
• Knowledge of mental health principles and practices.
• Knowledge of peer support models and volunteer coordination.
• Ability to provide short-term intervention, including assessment and evaluation, information and referral, and crisis intervention.
• Ability to demonstrate presence, self-confidence, and empathetic listening.
• Skill in consultation and program development procedures and practices.
• Skill in supervisory training and outreach.
• Skill in program coordination and case management.
• Skill in effective written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of community resources.
