Program DescriptionThe Villa is a permanent supportive housing program in the Bronx for 56 single adults living with substance use and/or mental health challenges. The program follows a harm reduction approach and is funded by DOHMH and HUD. Onsite services include case management, psychiatric care, occupational therapy, money management, recreation, and therapeutic groups.
Clinical Director – Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Program Director, the Clinical Director oversees all clinical services and supports for tenants at The Villa. Key responsibilities include:
Supervising case managers and supporting their development through training and supervision
Coordinating services with medical, psychiatric, and social service staff
Ensuring services meet DOHMH, HUD, and agency standards
Conducting regular quality assurance reviews and chart audits
Leading weekly case conferences and ensuring timely completion of assessments, service plans, and documentation
Creating emergency protocols and training staff in crisis response
Supporting tenant transitions including move-ins, move-outs, and post-discharge follow-up
Acting as the lead when the Program Director is unavailable
Being available for emergency situations 24/7
Physical Requirements
The Clinical Director must be able to walk throughout the building, use stairs when elevators are down, stand to speak with staff and clients, sit for long periods, and reach or squat to access files
