Program Description
Bedford Green House is a modern supportive and affordable housing complex serving over 300 New Yorkers. Phase I opened in the Bronx in 2021 and Phase II launched in April 2025. The site promotes healthy living and offers services like primary care, women’s health, occupational therapy, and family reunification. It is funded by the NYC Department of Health, ESSHI, and HRA. Phase I features a green roof, rooftop greenhouse, aquaponics system, horticultural therapy, cooking workshops, and a playground. Phase II includes a Learning Center, indoor gym, and a public medical clinic.


Clinical Director – Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Director reports to the Senior Director and oversees support services at Bedford Green House Phase II. Key duties include:
Supervising case management staff and ensuring quality care for tenants
Coordinating services with medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health teams
Ensuring compliance with ESSHI, HRA, and HUD regulations
Conducting regular chart reviews, staff meetings, and trainings
Reviewing tenant assessments, service plans, and progress notes
Managing critical incidents and follow-up procedures
Updating clinical policies and emergency protocols
Serving as the lead when the Senior Director is unavailable
Being available for emergencies 24/7
Physical Requirements
The Clinical Director must move throughout the building, including using stairs when elevators are not working, and may need to sit, stand, reach, or squat to access files and support staff and tenants.

Skills
Minimum of two years’ experience in human services, consulting, evaluation, homeless services, quality assurance, or related field.
Experience working with adults with mental health and/or substance use issues, including families, preferably in homeless shelters or supportive housing.
Bachelor’s degree in related field with more than 2 years of supervisory experience.
MA in social work, counseling, psychology, family therapy or related field, preferred.


Notes
Computer:  Knowledge of case management software as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Language:  Bilingual or multilingual a plus.
