Description
Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS), a non-profit, community mental health clinic, has a part-time position available for a licensed clinical psychologist to provide group supervision and individual supervision to doctoral students (practicum and interns) from a psychodynamic perspective.
The position averages 9-10 hours/week (2 hours of group supervision, 2-3 hours of individual supervision, 2 hours of training, and 1 hour of administrative paperwork). Duties may be performed in person or remotely (Supervision and training are preferred in person, while administrative duties may be completed remotely). Supervisors also attend a monthly Supervisor’s meeting on the first Wednesday of each month from 12-2 p.m. and assist with interviewing therapist applicants. The meetings are virtual with an in-person option.
Responsibilities include providing weekly group supervision and training to assist pre-licensed therapists in developing the skills required to become effective therapists. All supervisors are responsible for reviewing progress notes and treatment summary reports and conducting performance evaluations with each trainee/associate/intern. Supervisors also assist with virtual interviews of applicants for the AMCS training program.

Skills
The applicant must meet the credentialing requirements of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and the California Board of Psychology (BOP) to supervise pre-licensed therapists.

Pay is commensurate with community mental health clinics at a rate of $48 an hour.
