Founded in 2021, REM CENTER Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of society through science, education and quality social services. We are a small team of community members, leaders, teachers, school leaders, friends and allies working together to contribute to the growth and health of our communities.The Associate Vice President for Preventive Services oversees the general management of programs, with a focus on our School-Based Early Support Programs, Program Director coaching and support, and new program implementation and quality. The Associate Vice President (AVP) will manage the day to day operations of programs according to the ACS Prevention Standards, NYS and NYC mandates, and in accordance with organization core values and philosophy. The Associative Vice President reports directly to the Executive Director.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Strengthen supervisors’ capacity to supervise staff and meet program goals;
-Directly supervise program staff in the absence of supervisors;
-Understands the importance and urgency of safety and risk, and maintains regular supervision of program supervisors and directors;
-Ensures correct implementation of policies and procedures at each program;
-Visits programs to engage in conversations and interactions with the purpose of building rapport and strengthening relationships;
-Develops and implement performance improvement plans to support staff performance;
-Understands case planning and case management components, and ensures all components are tracked and evaluated;
-Ensures that all program, participant and client files are kept in compliance with organization, funder and city standards;
-Responds to organization, staff, family and client emergencies within or outside office hours;
-Drives the implementation of practices and models with a keen awareness of work quality and attention to detail;
-Coordinates team building opportunities on a program and organization-wide level;
-Facilitates mediation and conflict-resolution meetings as needed;
-Completes hiring and termination procedures;
-Represents the organization and conduct outreach at community events and venues;
-Establishes community linkages and collaboration with community organizations and school district leaders;
-Completes written reports required by state and city agencies and partners;
-Completes grant and funding applications;
-Be available to respond to site emergencies requiring executive level personnel and travel to a site location in 60 minutes or less on weekdays, including unexpected weekend emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Master’s Degree in Social Work or a Related Field; LMSW preferred
-At least three (3) years of non-profit or CBO administrative experience;
-At least two (2) years of supervisory experience;
