Description
Join the Housing Authority and make a difference! The Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino was organized in 1941 and to date is the largest provider of affordable housing in the County. We are currently looking for a Resident Services Coordinator, who will be working directly with residents based on their needs, networking with community partners to obtain new resources or services for residents. Under general supervision, plan, coordinate and provide resident, family, community service, community building, and social and educational services to improve the stability, quality of community life, and wellness of individuals and families. Duties are site or program based, vary with site or program needs, and may include, for example, to assess the needs of individuals and families in order to provide referrals or connect them to community service providers and partners; to provide ongoing case coordination and resident communications; to collaborate with site management staff and other key housing staff to ensure all services are coordinated effectively and consistently; to respond to and intervene in resident problems and crises, to create, develop, and implement community, organization, and program initiatives; and to create and implement resident initiatives designed to build leadership and promote inclusion in the development and strengthening of the communities.

Skills
BA degree with course work in public or business administration, behavioral science, education, or related field; at least 3 years experience in community relations or social service programs, housing, or a related field. Equivalent education/experience may be considered. Must have valid CA Driver's license and insurable at standard rates on a continuing basis as required by the Housing Authority's vehicle insurance carrier. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Salary: $25.82 - $32.28 Hourly (Non-Exempt) Regular Full time position: 9/80 work schedule Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, PERS Retirement, Education Reimbursement, 457 Deferred Comp Plan, Life Insurance, AD&D, 15 paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick accruals.
