Description
The Behavior Technician provides direct one-on-one therapy sessions and support to individuals with behavioral issues or developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of BCBA or BCBA-D, the Behavior Technician assists in implementing behavior plans, conducting behavior assessments, collecting data on client behavior, and facilitating skill-building activities. This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to working with clients. Essential Job Functions: • Implement ABA therapy techniques under the supervision of a BCBA or BCBA-D. • Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with children, adhering to individualized treatment plans tailored to meet their unique needs. • Facilitate the teaching and reinforcement of appropriate social, communication, and behavioral skills within a supportive and structured environment. • Cultivate positive and engaging therapeutic relationships with clients, fostering their independence and overall well-being. • Perform assessments, gather data, and monitor progress to ensure the effectiveness of treatment interventions under the supervision of a BCBA or BCBA-D. • Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members to review progress, address concerns, and adjust treatment plans as needed. • Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers, providing regular updates on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for skill generalization to the home environment. • Cultivate positive and engaging therapeutic relationships with clients, fostering their independence and overall well-being. • Perform assessments, gather data, and monitor progress to ensure the effectiveness of treatment interventions under the supervision of a BCBA or BCBA-D. • Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members to review progress, address concerns, and adjust treatment plans as needed. • Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers, providing regular updates on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for skill generalization to the home environment. Skills
• Registered Behavior Technician credential requirements within time frame set forth by BACB preferred. • Associates or Bachelors’ Degree in related field is preferred (ex: Psychology, Education) • 1 year experience with working with children with Autism at in home or school settings • Experience collecting digital data • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to positively impact the lives of children and their families.

• Ability to adapt to the individual needs of each client and implement appropriate strategies to support their progress. • Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and effectively manage a caseload. Location - Middlesex County NJ 15 to 20 hours per week
